Awards Night August 18
Mark your calendars ! Our annual full team Awards Night (at the pool) will take place on August 18. Details to follow. 

Board Elections
Your official 2010 Ballot has been placed into your family folder.  Please complete your ballot and return either in person to Cathy Myers or Glen Kaplan, or place into the KAPLAN family folder.  Each family has 2 votes, one for each parent or guardian.  Ballots are due, and the election will close, the Tuesday after City meet (August 10th, midnight). 

We have nine candidates for 4 positions.  Please vote for ONLY 4 people to fill our upcoming vacant board positions.   

This year, we also have an online option if you prefer to place your vote online, but you can only vote ONCE for no more than 4 candidates (either paper or online, not both please). Visit the following link to cast your vote online: VOTE FOR THE 2011 SWIM BOARD _ DHST
We are asking for your family's last name for verification purposes. Your name remains confidential. Only the election chairs (Glen Kaplan, Cathy Myers) will see this information if needed for authentication or verification. The survey will thank you for your vote, but you do not need to sign up for Survey Monkey to have your vote count.

Last day of Otter Pups is Tuesday, August 3^rd
This will be an opportunity for the Pups to either swim a 25 free or kick (with a board) at the end of their practice. There will a medal ceremony for ALL pups after practice. Look for sign ups at the pool for parents who would like to see their pup swim/kick and to bring and share treats for the kids after the medal presentation.

Pancake breakfast served on Thursday the 5th of August
Parents Please sign up to flip a few pancakes for our kids! Get them pumped up and ready to POP their times with a good old fashion. Bring your extra griddle and come help us make the Otters smile by dishing up breakfast at the POOL! See sign ups at the pool to help our kids.

New end of season meet for non-County swimmers
The Walnut creek Aquabears are hosting the Fred Siegrist Memorial Swim Classic from August 13-15. Check the meet info file and email Grant Bazan for further info 

New DHST Spirit Wear
We have new spirit wear available.  You can see all items online (the tank tops will not be available until next summer). You can download and print your order form (they will also be available in the back of the family file under spirit sales). For questions, please contact Leigh Klock at 925-212-5593.

If you are interested in learning more about the Meet Director role for 2011, please let Rhonda Woodling or Misty Nimr know.  It’s a great job if you have younger swimmers, and we will provide training and support.  Consider taking on the role with a friend!
